Marra's comic books have drawn comparison to mainstream masters Jim Steranko and Paul Gulacy as well as underground comix legends R. Crumb and Spain Rodriguez. Marra's illustration work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Publication Designers, American Illustration and the Art Directors Club. Some of  his clients include Playboy, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Marvel Comics, Vice, Nylon, Widen+Kennedy and McCann-Erickson. Marra's work is beyond the cutting edge. It is in the cut itself. His website is here.

  3. All-around amazing....I love your style for this...like some sort of Giotto painting-meets-George Perez-meets King Kirby.

  4. Daniel's right, impressive logo. And the book seems a worthy successor to the Kirby original.

Would read? Yes. I love how much Kirby is likely to fit into this 52.

  7. Ben! I haven't been able to stop look at this since it was posted. Makes me miss seeing comics that promise to be fun from the start. Too bad this is a cover only, cuz' I'm pretty sure this would totally be my favorite new series... sigh.
