CLAW THE UNCONQUERED #1 by Marc Palm

Marc J Palm (AKA Swellzombie) lives and works as a cartoonist/illustrator in Seattle. Marc has been drawing for 20+ years where comics and film have always been the biggest influences.

As an illustrator, the work that has gotten the most attention are Marc's clever mash-ups like the Muppet version of R. Crumb's Cheap Thrills record cover. Or the controversial They Live poster that turns Shepard Fairey's work onto itself. He currently creates posters for notable Seattle comedians that honor movie poster and VHS box art as well as comic books and animation.

Marc creates and self-publishes his own comics as well. He has been hand crafting zines since the mid-nineties, and for the last ten years he's used on-line print-on-demand sources and blogs to release his twisted and darkly comedic comics. Swellzombie's Lair of the Psychic Creature is the blog where his comics range from daily, to weekly, to longer serialized pieces.

  1. Great cover, Marc!
Love the creatures, straight from the "Swellzombie-universe".

  3. Looks awesome. It was my hope that DC would diversify into more genres. There's some of that with western and military comics, but no straight up fantasy (well, maybe Cornell's Demon Knights). Claw would be a great addition especially if the book looked like THAT.

    Would read? Yes!
